<Name>servo idle</Name>
<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
This command puts the servo in idle mode. The servo amplifier outputs
are disabled and no current is supplied to the motor windings. In most cases
it will be possible to turn the servo lead screw or motor shaft by hand in
idle mode. If the servo is in motion when the idle command is issued it will
come to an immediate stop.

<Notes>
<DescriptionText><text>
Accurate servo positioning is always lost in idle mode. The servo is
automatically reinitialized before any subsequent motion command is performed.
For example, if the servo is in idle mode and a 'move' or 'moveto' command
is issued an initialization is done first. Its important to realize this since
the first step during initialization is a movement toward the 'home' position.
If the servo is currently idle and a command is issued to move to a direction
away from the home position the servo will begin by moving towards home.
This may confuse the user but is in fact normal servo operation.
